Subscriptions
Sell and manage subscriptions directly in the app. Set up recurring payments for memberships, services, or any product your customers need on a regular basis.
Once a subscription is active, charges happen automatically on the schedule you define. You can view and manage all active subscriptions from the customer’s profile, making it easy to pause, cancel, or update them as needed.
Coupons
Apply coupon discounts at checkout, either as a fixed amount or a percentage off. Useful for promotions, loyalty discounts, or any situation where you want to offer a customer a deal without manually adjusting prices.
For subscriptions, choose whether the discount applies to the first charge only or to all future charges – great for introductory offers or long-term loyalty discounts.
Customer addresses
Customer profiles now support billing and shipping addresses, keeping everything in one place for orders, invoices, or any situation where you need accurate address details on hand.
Reorder products and subscriptions
Take control of your checkout layout. Rearrange products and subscriptions, put your bestsellers first, and organise things however makes sense for your business. Go to Settings → Checkout view to set it up.
Save cards for future charges
When enabled, customer cards are saved securely to their Stripe profile for future use. Handy for repeat customers, subscriptions, or invoices where you’d rather not ask for card details again.
The feature follows Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements in Europe, which means subsequent payments are less likely to be declined or require extra verification from the customer.
Kiosk mode
AlfaPOS for Android now comes with Kiosk mode, letting customers browse items and complete purchases without staff assistance. This frees up your team to focus on other tasks while the checkout handles itself. Works well for unattended setups, pop-up shops, events, or busy retail environments where customers prefer a quick self-service option.
Kiosk mode doesn’t require any monitoring or manual reset. When the customer completes the checkout or if they walk away mid-transaction, the screen will automatically reset after a period of inactivity, ready for the next sale.
Interac refunds (Canada)
For Canadian merchants, AlfaPOS now supports Interac refunds. Because of how Interac works, refunds need to be completed in person – the customer will need to present their card at the time of the refund.
